Existing Parents Events

Parent events from September 2017

On the 12th September at 6.30 we will welcome all our new parents to a school briefing. This presentation will introduce you to some of the working practices, routines and procedures. Additionally, we will brief you on our IT provision, student email, sports programmes and other matters that will ease the transition for you and your child into Kew House.

We would like to invite all our parents to our annual parent barbecue on Friday 15th September from 7.00 – 10.00pm. This event will enable you to meet all our staff and existing parents informally. Students are not permitted to attend. Food and drink will be served throughout the evening. We will also be able to celebrate the opening of the new building and show you round this facility.

31stOctober, Year 7 and 8 open evening. You are invited to meet staff in a more formal open event. Students are expected to attend with parents, show them around the school and introduce them to the staff who teach them. I must stress this is not a parents evening and staff will not expect to discuss progress or academic reports with you at this time. Kew House does not hold formal parent’s evenings as you receive six academic reports each year and you can meet the personal tutor or subject staff upon request should there be an issue.

Our Key satge 4 open evening will be held on 9th November. Again I must stress this is not a formal parents evening and staff will not expect to discuss in detail progress or academic reports with you at this time.

Details of our Year 7 trip to St Issey in Cornwall will be sent out after half term.
